I would say the best advice is to schedule an appointment before you spend any resources. So, before you buy or lease, before you start construction work, etc. If you’re a homeowner or small business owner and don’t know where to start, like which appointment to select, connect with the Development Process Team. 

If you are a little more familiar with the process, you can schedule a meeting with:The Land Use team for questions that are related to how the land can be used (permitted uses, changes of use, etc,) or understanding whether a site plan might be required; and/or,Building Plan Review or Building Inspections if you have questions about a proposed or existing structure and what might apply.
