Building Better Neighborhoods: What’s up with Retail in Austin?
For tickets and sharing with friends and network: https://partiful.com/e/0KY6uF5IGwSnkxfCT4kW?c=yBribCJO
I am hosting this event both as a way to bring together the types of businesses that could benefit from learning from each other, seeking a mentor or those willing to be a mentor as well as those providing a service that could help a small business grow whether you are food, non food retail, seeking brick and mortar or CPG brand.
Additionally, this event is for property owners, real estate professionals, community leaders, city staff, city council, neighborhood groups and design and construction service providers
The city grows as a collective unit as good development raises everyone up and bad development brings everyone down.
What is highest and best use? Sometimes single level small shop retail is not the most economical to build but it is the driver for the larger, more profitable developments that most developers are seeking. How do we get both? In most cities, the larger, modern mixed use development happens because of the original neighborhood retail and established brand/personality, rarely do strong neighborhoods start from scratch with large new build mixed use
Let’s have a conversation and create a win win for businesses, real estate developers and the city as a whole.
